Lexus Croydon plays host to a war hero
Lexus Croydon had the honor of playing host to war hero Lance Corporal Johnson Beharry VC when he collected his new IS F from the Centre’s sales executive Nitin Walji.
Lance Corporal Beharry of the 1st Battalion, Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment, was awarded the Victoria Cross after twice saving members of his unit when they were ambushed whilst serving at Al-Amarah, Iraq in 2004.
The first, as well as the youngest, recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest military decoration for valour in the British and Commonwealth armed forces, since the posthumous awards to Lieutenant Colonel H. Jones and Sergeant Ian John McKay for service in the Falklands War in 1982, Mr Beharry received his medal from the Queen in 2005.
