Japanese-themed event launches RX 450h at Lexus Edgware Road
Sushi, sake and spa treatments made up a few of the attractions at Lexus Edgware Road’s Japanese-themed launch of the all-new RX 450h.
More than 100 guests were able to explore the second generation luxury, hybrid SUV from Lexus with its uncompromised performance, striking design and unique innovations. A ‘cut-away’ RX 450h was on display showing the way in which hybrid technology operates, so enabling the vehicle to deliver fuel economy of 44.8 mpg and CO2 emissions of 148 g/km resulting in a Benefit in Kind rating (BIK) for company car drivers of 14%, which its competitors simply cannot match.
Lexus Edgware Road general manager Diana Mackinnon, pictured behind the wheel of the cut-away RX 450h with Isake’s Kumiko Ohta, said: “The level of interest in the new hybrid is phenomenal and we were delighted to welcome so many people who are considering Lexus for the first time. It was a highly enjoyable evening and guests really appreciated the touch of the Orient we brought to north London!”
Wine expert Gilbert Winfield and kimono-clad Kumiko, an authorised lecturer in sake who also set up the sake-importers Isake, helped guests discover the true taste of traditional, high quality sake as well as some of the finer points of wine tasting.
Fitness and beauty experts from premium health and leisure club Esporta Friern Barnet provided mini massages and five-minute health checks. Internationally acclaimed portrait photographer Gary Italiaander, whose studio was once based in Harrods, provided guests with a complimentary portrait sitting.
Eco developers Buxton Country Homes talked to guests about their bespoke, luxurious homes which the company creates whilst delivering sustainable living solutions. Amongst other projects, the company is developing a ‘green’ village of nine homes in Chorleywood in association with German house building company Huf Haus.
