The new IS 250C - Available Now
Top-down driving pleasure combined with sporting elegance, technologically advanced features and dynamic engineering – Lexus unveiled the new IS 250 C at the 2008 Paris Motor Show.
With a world-best 20-second opening for a three-part folding roof, the new Lexus convertible is due at Jemca’s Lexus Centres in summer 2009.
The ultra-compact, lightweight aluminium roof design ensures an optimum amount of boot space and rear seat passenger room.
Powering the new convertible is the saloon’s smooth 205bhp (208 DIN hp) 2.5-litre petrol V6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission.
The muscular appeal of a sports coupe and the stylish lines of a convertible, the IS 250 C is markedly different to the saloon. Numerous changes in the body structure enhance collision strength, roll-over protection and torsional rigidity as well as the highest content of sophisticated active and passive safety technology in its segment. Offering the same high levels of luxury and practical innovation as the IS saloon, the IS 250 C, however, incorporates a number of bespoke technical revisions designed to ensure the on-board comfort and entertainment systems operate effectively when the roof is down.
