Local family enjoys Lexus' winning ways
A local family are now enjoying the ‘winning ways’ of Lexus hybrid
drive after winning Lexus GB’s 365-day test drive prize draw.
Mrs Tahera Raza, from Northwood, Middlesex, and her daughter Naveen Raza collected the Lexus RX 400h SE-L from her local Centre Lexus Edgware Road. The vehicle was handed over by Lexus GB director Belinda Poole and Lexus Edgware Road general manager Diana Mackinnon.
The family already have their first long journey planned – Liverpool fans Naveen and her husband Mujtaba Walji have persuaded her mother and father Ahmed to join them for a trip to Anfield to see the Reds play.
“We’re not sure who will be driving yet,” said Naveen. “But with the DVD players in the back, it will be a pleasant journey either way!”
She added: “My mum was on holiday when we received the calls telling us we’d won. We couldn’t believe it, you never expect to win so it was a lovely surprise.”
The prize draw formed part of Lexus GB’s national ‘hybrid weekend’ promotion in September whereby a special website invited drivers to ‘experience Lexus hybrid drive’ and enter the draw.
Mrs Raza said: “I have always liked Lexus but have never managed to persuade my husband to buy one which was why we were visiting Lexus Edgware Road when we entered the competition. I’m sure he’ll drive this and we won’t be looking back!”
