Brownies impressed with Hybrid
Lexus Edgware Road impressed more than 250 Girl Guide and Brownies from the London area with hybrid technology at the region’s annual gathering.
Gerry Prodano, Centre Host, attended the camp at Harefield during a weekend in May, and demonstrated the RX 400h and talked to the girls about hybrid technology.
He said: “Their response was amazing. They were genuinely interested in the vehicle and particularly how hybrid technology has less impact on the environment than other similar vehicles. They were really impressed about how quiet the car is – so quiet you can’t even hear that the car has started. In fact, some of the girls were so impressed that they said they were going to recommend it to their parents!”
During the weekend, Gerry gave a talk to 16 groups of Girl Guides and Brownies totalling over 250 girls who asked questions, entered a quiz which he had specially devised for the event and enjoyed looking in and all around the car. The winners received a Lexus Thermal Mug, a Lexus Branded Cap and a USB Memory stick.
The Brownie and Girl Guide leaders were so impressed with Gerry’s presentation and the girls’ interest that he has been invited to attend next year.
