Celebrating the opening of Lexus Sidcup
More than 200 guests celebrated the official opening of Lexus’s newest Centre in Sidcup including soap star celebrities from The Bill and Holby City who are also customers of the business.
RX 300 driver Mark Moraghan, who plays Owen Davis in the hospital soap, attended the launch with his wife and baby daughter. Graham Coleman, The Bill’s PC Tony Stamp, who drives a RX 400h, was accompanied by his teenage daughter.
The champagne reception, which incorporated a specialist wine tasting experience for guests, was hosted by general manager David Minto and his staff. Lexus GB director Belinda Poole, who took up her role last month, met customers in her first ‘official’ Centre engagement as well as speaking about the range and the plans for Lexus’s growth in the UK. The pair delivered short speeches as part of the event proceedings as did Yukio Ogawa - Managing Director, Toyota Tsushu Automobile London Holdings Ltd, Lexus Sidcup’s parent company.
The evening proceedings included a Champagne reception where canapés were served and a string trio, who have performed with celebrities such as violinist Vanessa Mae and pop idol Madonna. Wine expert, Timothy Woods, provided the ‘Refine your Senses’ wine tasting which included a light-hearted competition and prize draw.
Congratulations to Simon Wilkinson who topped the popular wine-tasting competition winning a case of fine wines and Reg Pridmore who won the prize draw of a magnum of champagne.
The exhilarating, newly-launched IS F proved a major attraction. With its forged 19-inch alloy wheels, flared wheel arches, larger grille and discreet rear spoiler the IS F took pride of place on the Centre floor.
